[Cloche is out in the village, getting what may seem like a late night snack from the store. However, she looks as if she hasn't been sleeping well. She might blame it on her injuries that are still healing up from her mallynap, or something else entirely.

You can catch her either on her way there, stopping to rest at the fountain on her way back with food, or on the path back to her community housing.]

My hand? That's because my wind rune's on it. [He take off the glove to show the rune on the back of his right hand.]

[Woah. Cloche will take his hand to look at it closer, trying to figure out this rune thing.] It's pretty. You cast magic with it?

Yep. With this, I can cast a healing spell, some wind spells and a sleeping one. As long I have the energy for them.

[implanta]

Energy? [Wondering if it's different from how she casts magic; as long as she has magic power, she can continue to keep singing.]

It's so much different than how I use magic... [Yes, this is very, very interesting to her.]

Yeah. With my skills, I can only cast, say, the healing spell about six times before I need to recover. [It's generally why he'd only use it if it's necessary.]

How do you recover? Is it just by sleeping? I know when I stop singing, I can start singing after a minute or two.

Pretty much, yeah. A nap's enough for me to use those spells again. It would be better if I have a rune that recovers it for me quicker, but the better magic-users got them first.

'Better magic users'...? W-well I think you're a fine magic user! [Yes, she's trying to cheer him up.]

Hahah! I know I'm not the best, but thanks. [His role was as a decoy and to cause confusion over magical support. Rune magic is just to help him in the worst case scenario.]

It's true! I think you're just fine! You could compete with some of the Reyvateils I know! You'd certainly be an anomaly if you were to ever to visit Metafalss, but I'd know that you were just as powerful.

Thanks, Cloche. [He's rather tempted to pat her on the head.] If I remember right, you said songs have magic in them in your world?

Oh! Yes, made from our emotions. We sing and we can produce magic or bigger effects.

[falenanthief]

Like when you helped me that time. [He really appreciate that.] And...uh, thanks again for that.

Of course. I wouldn't have let you stay hurt. We can create stronger magic usually, but I don't think I can while I'm here.

[falenanthief]

I think I heard something like that. Our powers aren't as strong here...but I know we can use them at full strength outside of Luceti.

[implanta]

Well... no, not quite like that. There's a potential that I can create stronger magic if... certain conditions are met. Since I sing for magic, I have to have the emotions to go with it.

[falenanthief]

Certain conditions...conditions like what?

[implanta]

[Ohhhh boy here's where the explanations make people kind of... scared? Thinking terrible thoughts? Cloche remembers the reaction Touma had, at least.]

Er... well, in my world, it's called Diving. Someone I trust would Dive into my subconscious and help me create magic from emotions. There are no Dive machines here, so no one can really do that.

[Okay, so...] So with someone you trust, you let them...inside your mind? Soul?

Yes. As I said, it's called Diving. We have to trust the person to let them deeper into our minds.

[falenanthief]

Doesn't it hurt? [He's not expert, but is that safe? And doesn't that mean letting them know stuff?]

Hurt? No, it doesn't hurt. It's... well, we enter a Dive machine - a machine where we both sort of... sleep. I'm in one pod, the person Diving into me in the other. I'm not really sure how else to further explain it, I don't really know how else it works beyond that.
