[Cloche is out in the village, getting what may seem like a late night snack from the store. However, she looks as if she hasn't been sleeping well. She might blame it on her injuries that are still healing up from her mallynap, or something else entirely.

You can catch her either on her way there, stopping to rest at the fountain on her way back with food, or on the path back to her community housing.]

She reads too much, or just reads a lot? I read a lot too, but I don't know if I'd be a walking dictionary. [Is that even possible to read too much? Cloche is curious about this one.]

U-uncool? All right... [She's not sure why it'd be uncool, but she'll go with it.] If I could sing, I'd just create some fire with magic.

I think I heard something like that. Our powers aren't as strong here...but I know we can use them at full strength outside of Luceti.

I'd say somewhere between a lot and too much. I mean, it's her thing, but she probably reads so much that she's got a million words memorized.

Talking and singing are two different things. It's... [There are other people who use magic here, how can she put it--] It's like forgetting the words to a spell.

Well... no, not quite like that. There's a potential that I can create stronger magic if... certain conditions are met. Since I sing for magic, I have to have the emotions to go with it.

A million? That's a lot of words... do that many even exist?

Er... well, in my world, it's called Diving. Someone I trust would Dive into my subconscious and help me create magic from emotions. There are no Dive machines here, so no one can really do that.

[Okay, so...] So with someone you trust, you let them...inside your mind? Soul?

Yes. As I said, it's called Diving. We have to trust the person to let them deeper into our minds.

I suppose you could say it that way. But... what if the sheet music is in your mind?

Hurt? No, it doesn't hurt. It's... well, we enter a Dive machine - a machine where we both sort of... sleep. I'm in one pod, the person Diving into me in the other. I'm not really sure how else to further explain it, I don't really know how else it works beyond that.
